Create an invoice

Step-by-step instructions on how to create an invoice.

  1. From the More tab, tap Invoices
  2. On the top right, tap Options .
  3. Tap + New.
    • Note: You can also access the new invoice entry screen by navigating to the specific claim you want to create an invoice for, selecting Invoicing at the bottom right, and then tapping +
  4. From here, you will be able to enter the information for your invoice.
    • Required Information
      • Firm
      • Claim
      • At least one line item
    • Auxiliary Information
      • File #
      • Claim #
      • Supplement
      • Date
      • Buildings
      • RCV
      • Notes

Once you’ve entered all the information, tap Done to save the invoice or Cancel to clear all fields and return to your list of invoices.

Your two options for entering line items

  1. Choose existing billable item
    • A drop-down will appear allowing you to select from a list of billable items in your database. Click here to learn how to add billable items to your database: https://adjusterpilot.com/docs/add-a-billable-item/
    • Select the appropriate billable item.
    • Enter information for the item:
      • Quantity
      • Price
        • Note: If you have a price saved for this item, it will be populated in the price field. However, you are able to adjust the price if needed. This price change is not permanent for the item and will not be reflected in the future.
      • Note
    • Click + add to save the line item or cancel to clear all fields.
  2. Add One-Time Line Item
    • Once selected, you will be able to type in a name for your one-time line item.
    • Enter information for the item:
      • Quantity
      • Price
      • Note
    • Click + add to save the line item or cancel to clear all fields.

Once a line item has been entered, you can always edit it by tapping the icon. Selecting this gives you these options:

  • Remove
    • You will be asked to confirm that you want to delete this line item.
  • Edit
    • Allows you to edit all fields for the line item
  • Note
    • Add a note for the line item
    • Exit out of the edit menu

Note: You can access invoices from their respective claims. To do this, simply navigate to the claim and then select the Invoicing tab at the bottom right.
