Getting Started with Adjuster Pilot

Step-by-step instructions on getting started with Adjuster Pilot.

How to Download #

Adjuster Pilot is hosted on the FileMaker platform, which is the foundation that we’ve used to develop and deliver our app. FileMaker is a versatile and user-friendly database management system that empowers individuals and organizations to create and use custom solutions. These solutions are optimized for managing data efficiently, among other business operations, and are used across countless industries.

In summary, first you will have to download the free FileMaker Go 2023 app on your phone. Click the link below to go directly to the FileMaker Go 2023 app within the App Store.

Once you have successfully downloaded the FileMaker Go app to your device, you are ready to take flight on your Adjuster Pilot journey! Click the link below to launch Adjuster Pilot:

Creating an Account #

Once you have successfully installed FileMaker Go and opened the Adjuster Pilot application, you will first need to create your account. This account will be used to access your very own personal database. To set up your account, click the Sign Up button.

Here you will fill out your demographic information, including:

  • First and last name
  • Email Address
  • Password
  • Phone number

The email and password will be your credentials to access Adjuster Pilot.

NOTE: You must use the email address that you initially registered with.

Setup Wizard #

Upon entering Adjuster Pilot you will be presented with a quick “Getting Start” help page. This page serves as a basic intro to using the app. You have the opportunity to learn how to do five key processes:

  • Setting your preferences
  • Adding a Firm
  • Adding a Carrier
  • Adding a geographical group
  • Entering a Claim

You can also choose to hit Close to exit the help page or Hide Forever to make it never show up again.

Basic Navigation #

The Home page in Adjuster Pilot is where you will be doing most of your work . From here you will be able to see a snapshot of your claims pipeline where all of your claims are split up by status. You also have four buttons to quickly access commonly used functions:

  • On Hold : brings you to a list of all of your claims that are currently on hold
  • Supplements : brings you to a list of claims that have open supplements
  • To Inspect : brings you to a list of claims that are in need of an inspection
  • New Claim : brings you to a screen where you can enter a new claim

Also take note of the bottom navigation bar. Here there are four tabs that drive the Adjuster Pilot app:

  • Home
  • Claims
  • Appointments
  • More

Preferences #

The Preferences section is located within the More tab. Here you will have your name and email address auto-filled for you as well as a couple of quick options. There is a drop-down where you can choose your Preferred Maps App ( Apple maps, Google maps, Waze ). You can also save Start and End addresses to your account so that they can be easily used for routing purposes.

Entering your first claim #

Now that you’ve got Adjuster Pilot downloaded it’s time to start taking advantage of all the benefits it has! Adjuster Pilot has been developed by adjusters for adjusters. We have made every attempt to make your day-to-day workflow as effortless as possible. With that being said, entering your first claim, and future claims, will be a breeze.

  1. You have a couple of places where you can start entering a claim.
    • (1) There is a + New Claim button located conveniently on the home page.
    • (2) The Claims tab brings you to a page with all your claims. From here, you can start a new claim by clicking the 3 dots at the top right and then selecting + New.
  2. Once you have reached the New Claim screen there will be fields for you to enter all the information about the claim.

Contact Us #

As a development team, we are eager to get any and all feedback our users have on Adjuster Pilot. There is always room to improve so we encourage you to contact us whenever you notice an issue or have a good idea on how to make Adjuster Pilot even better. Doing this is as simple as filling out a quick form within the app.

  1. First, navigate to the More tab.
  2. Tap on the Help section.
  3. You will be brought to the Contact Us screen.
  4. The first thing you will choose is the Type of submission. You have a few options:
    • Bug
    • Suggestion
    • Feedback
    • Discussion
  5. Next, provide details of your inquiry in the Issue text field. Please be as detailed as possible, your input is absolutely critical to the development of Adjuster Pilot and even the smallest improvements will go a long way.
  6. At the bottom, you also have the option of uploading a screenshot with your ticket. This can greatly benefit us in the process of troubleshooting and fixing your issue.
  7. Once you have finished, tap Submit Ticket .
